Omnigraffle Pro 7 10 Upgrade

OmniGraffle 7 Enterprise simplifies deployment for customers who wish to pay full-price for the Pro edition up front. For most customers, we recommend our normal edition — which uses in-app purchases to support free two-week trials, two levels of functionality (Standard and Pro), and upgrade discounts. Powerful visual communication. With the power to diagram, rapid-prototype, and design, OmniGraffle was made for professionals who need to organize or communicate visually—beautifully.

  1. Overall: OmniGraffle is marketed largely as an OS X native alternative to Visio, but it shines as a separate product in its own right, and a perfect accompaniment to Adobe CS for technical drawing. It's fine for all those Visio-ish things, org charts and information maps and whatever else, but I mostly use it for circuit diagrams and other 2-D technical drawings, and it works very well for.
  2. OmniGraffle 7 is a completely redesigned version of the application, offering integrated Inspector and Stencil windows, a brand new Resource Browser to manage stencils and templates, new artistic Fill and Stroke styles, improved Shared layers, powerful Shape Combinations, better Image Masking and Cropping, OmniGraffle Pro and a bevy of other.

OmniGraffle Pro 7.10

OmniGraffle Pro helps you draw beautiful diagrams, family trees, flow charts, org charts, layouts, and (mathematically speaking) any other directed or non-directed graphs. We’ve had people use Graffle to plan plotlines for a story, make an overview of an operating system, show the evolution of computers, and even show how diseases can spread in a closed population. If you want to organize your thoughts, your projects, or even your friends graphically, using boxes and lines, OmniGraffle is your tool.

Omnigraffle Pro 7 10 Upgrade Usb

OmiGraffle Professional has all of the great features in 6.0, plus a powerful toolset for advanced document creation and editing options. For the pro user who’s looking for an in-depth diagramming application that’s still priced below the competition, you’ve come to the right place.

What’s in Pro:

  • Visio import/export: Open Microsoft Visio® documents (VSD or VDX) directly in OmniGraffle, as well as Visio stencils (VSS) and templates (VST). Export to Visio XML documents (VDX).
  • Shared layers: Easily update common elements that you’d like to display on multiple canvases. Layers can now be toggled between a normal and a Shared layer.
  • New controls specify which edge or center of an object is reflected in the Geometry Inspector. You can set the X and Y coordinates of a selected vertex point.
  • Shape combinations: Easily create new shapes using combinations of existing shapes (with support for union, intersection, and subtraction). Combined shapes can now be uncombined into their component shapes.
  • Resolution-independent Display Scale: When zoom is at 100%, match an Apple point, PostScript point, or screen pixel.
  • Photoshop export has returned, and supports the export of OmniGraffle layers to Photoshop layers.

Version 7.9

  • Dark Mode — OmniGraffle now supports Dark Mode on macOS Mojave 10.14.
  • Control Point Size Preference — Added an option in the Appearance preference pane for the size of handles. This preference controls the size of selection handles, Bézier points, Bézier control handles, line midpoints, and magnets.
  • Quick Connect — When using the Line tool, holding the command key while clicking to a connect a line to a shape will now create a magnet where you clicked, and the line will automatically connect to that magnet.
  • AppleScript — Brought back support for current export settings in AppleScript and fixed a couple bugs with export properties. Also fixed a bug causing incomplete exports when calling close immediately after export.
  • Performance — Improved Inspector performance when many documents are open at once.
  • Undo — Fixed a couple bugs that prevented undo from working correctly with Auto Layout and with Enforce Style.

  • Tool Hot Keys — Fixed a bug with Tool Hot Keys that would occasionally cause them to stop working.
  • Line Labels — Fixed a bug that prevented lines from connecting to the labels of other lines.
  • Touch Bar — Fixed a bug that caused the slider to not track with your finger when resizing an object from the Touch Bar.
  • Crows Feet — Fixed a bug with the Crows Feet line ending that prevented it from resizing on screen when the size was adjusted in the inspector.
  • Export — Fixed a bug that caused the Current Canvas export to export the wrong canvas if canvases had been reordered in the document.
  • Export — Fixed a bug that caused the Export Area setting to not be remembered for subsequent exports after exporting to PDF.
  • Orthogonal Line Routing — Fixed some line routing bugs reported by users. Thank you!

In addition to buying a one-time license for the app in the ways described in this article, OmniFocus is now also available as a subscription via the Omni Store. This subscription includes access to the Pro features of OmniFocus for Mac and iOS, as well as OmniFocus for the Web. Learn more about subscribing to OmniFocus here.

OmniFocus 3 for iOS is a free download in the App Store, with the Standard and Pro feature sets available via In-App Purchase. We also offer a 14-day free trial, after which OmniFocus will function as a free viewer.

The purchase options available to you are based upon your purchase history. If you owned a previous version of OmniFocus for iPad or iPhone, you can purchase Pro or Standard in v3 at a discount. If you start with Standard and decide you want Pro later, you can upgrade for the difference in cost.

Start by downloading OmniFocus 3 from the App Store. This article walks you through the purchase process you’ll take after opening the new version, as well as the different upgrade options you may have.

Starting your Trial

When you first set up OmniFocus, tap Try and then select the desired trial option to begin a 14-day free trial. More information on the trial options is available here: Trial versions of Omni apps

Buying the Standard or Pro feature set

If you know right from the start that you’d like to purchase OmniFocus 3 for iOS, tap the Buy section from the first-launch screen. Otherwise, if you’ve decided to purchase sometime after starting a trial, you can complete a purchase from the In-App Purchases area in the OmniFocus Settings. From the OmniFocus 3 Home screen, tap the Settings gear icon in the toolbar, then tap In-App Purchases.

If you already own an earlier version of OmniFocus for iPad or iPhone and wish to purchase a one-time license to OmniFocus 3, follow the remaining steps in the section titled Upgrade Pricing for existing customers. Otherwise, follow steps in the section titled Unlocking OmniFocus for new users below.

If you wish to purchase an OmniFocus Subscription, follow the steps in our help article Subscribing to OmniFocus.

Unlocking OmniFocus for new users

When you’re ready to purchase OmniFocus 3, tap Standard or Pro in the In-App Purchases to select a feature set, then tap Buy and confirm with your Apple ID to complete your purchase.

You’ll receive a confirmation prompt letting you know the purchase was successful. After picking a feature set, you’ll be walked through some remaining steps for setting up your database, either by setting up a cloud account or by creating a new blank database offline. If you have any other devices to install OmniFocus 3 on, use the Restore Purchase button in the In-App Purchases area in OmniFocus Settings on your other device to activate the same feature set elsewhere. Thanks for purchasing OmniFocus 3–you’re now ready to start accomplishing more every day!

Upgrade pricing for existing customers

Thanks for being an existing customer! If you’ve purchased an earlier version of OmniFocus for iOS, you’re eligible for a discount when upgrading to Pro or Standard in OmniFocus 3 for iOS. In order to receive your discount, OmniFocus 3 and the earlier version will both need to be installed on your device.

Note: If you purchased OmniFocus 1 iPhone or iPad as well as OmniFocus 2 for iOS, you only need to (re)install one of these apps. It doesn’t matter which.

  1. Make sure the earlier version of OmniFocus is installed on your iOS device, and is unlocked with the Pro or Standard feature set. If you need to reinstall, follow the steps in the section titled Reinstalling an older version below.

  2. If you haven’t already, download OmniFocus 3 via the App Store and open it. Tap Buy from the first-launch screen, or if you’ve been using the app already, open the OmniFocus Settings and find the In-App Purchases area.

  3. If OmniFocus successfully validates the earlier version that’s installed, the text box below the upgrade options will confirm that an upgrade discount is being applied, and discounted In-App Purchase options will be shown above. If an earlier version is installed but the text doesn’t mention a discount, tap Check for Discount to manually verify discount eligibility.

  4. When you’re ready to purchase the upgrade, tap the Standard or Pro option, then tap Upgrade and confirm with your Apple ID to complete your purchase.

Omnigraffle 7 Pro License

You’ll receive a confirmation prompt letting you know the purchase was successful. If you have any other devices to install OmniFocus 3 on, use the Restore Purchase button in the In-App Purchases area of OmniFocus Settings on your other device to activate the same feature set elsewhere. Thanks for purchasing OmniFocus 3, and for your continued support–we hope you love the new version!

Restoring purchases

After the initial In-App Purchase is completed, that purchase is permanently associated with your Apple ID. As long as you are using the same Apple ID and are in the same country as the original purchase, Apple allows you to re-download any of your previous purchases for free.

If you’d like to activate Standard or Pro on any of your other iOS devices, or if you’ve performed an iOS restore and have wiped everything off your device, then select the Buy or Restore Purchase option on the first-launch screen and tap the Restore Purchase button. Then, tap Restore from App Store on the following screen. This retrieves your previous In-App Purchase from Apple, so you don’t need to buy everything all over again.

Reinstalling an older version

The validation process for an upgrade discount requires you to have an earlier version of OmniFocus installed. That’s great news if you’ve still got the app on your device, but what if you’ve removed it already?

If we don’t detect the previous version of the app, when you tap the Check for Discount button you’ll be asked to re-download it from the App Store.

Any time you make a purchase in the App Store, that purchase is tied to your Apple ID. As long as you are using the same Apple ID and are in the same country as the original purchase, Apple allows you to re-download any apps you’ve previously paid for, free of charge.

Earlier versions of OmniFocus have been removed from sale, but remain available for reinstallation from the App Store’s Purchased section. More information about accessing the Purchased section is available on Apple’s support site here.

Then, launch that version of OmniFocus at least once. If you’ve reinstalled OmniFocus 2 and if your earlier v2 purchase isn’t automatically activated, use the Restore Purchase button in the In-App Purchases window to reactivate your earlier purchase of OmniFocus 2 Standard or Pro.

After this is completed, proceed with the remaining steps in the Upgrade Pricing for existing customers section earlier in this article. When successful, we’ll tell you that you’re eligible and you can then tap the discounted upgrade options to proceed with your purchase.

Troubleshooting

If you are unable to reinstall the previous version, try logging out and logging back in to the App Store.

  1. Go into the device “iTunes & App Store” settings.

  2. Tap your Apple ID, then tap Sign Out.

  3. Log back in with your Apple ID, using the same Apple ID tied to your purchase of the previous version.

  4. Try reinstalling the previous version again.

Do I need to keep both versions installed?

No. We expect most users to remove the earlier version after setting up OmniFocus 3, though it’s safe to leave both installed simultaneously if your workflow requires this for any reason. The different versions of OmniFocus won’t directly interfere or interact with each other, but it might make things more confusing since it’s hard to tell the versions apart by icon alone. The older app version also won’t have access to Tags or other features new to OmniFocus 3. When you do decide to delete the older version, make sure your data’s all loaded into OmniFocus 3 first.
